Guguloth Rudvik Naik is bringing pride to Telangana by achieving remarkable success in Taekwondo at a very young age. He showcased his talent by winning a gold medal at the 1st World Open Taekwondo Championship–2026, held in Hyderabad.

Rudvik Naik began his Taekwondo training on January 24, 2024. He is currently training under Master Saikam Subbarao (6th Dan) at Saikam International Taekwondo Academy in Alkapur. A student of Westside Grammar School, Narsingi, Rudvik is excelling in sports while also pursuing his education.

Rudvik has participated in several prestigious competitions and won numerous medals. In 2024, he won a silver medal at the Inter-School Greater Hyderabad Open Taekwondo Championship and a gold medal at the 7th Telangana State Taekwondo Championship.

In 2025, he continued his winning streak by securing gold medals at the 8th Telangana State Taekwondo Championship, Bellator Telangana State Taekwondo Championship, and Jeeva Ranga Reddy District Taekwondo Championship. In the same year, he also won a bronze medal at the Indo-Nepal International Taekwondo Championship.

In 2026, Rudvik won a gold medal at the 1st CHITF Ranga Reddy District Taekwondo Championship. Most recently, he added another gold medal at the 1st World Open Taekwondo Championship, further extending his impressive winning streak.

Rudvik’s father, Guguloth Suresh, works as a Reserve Sub-Inspector of Police, while his mother, Guguloth Jyothi, has been a constant source of encouragement and support. With the dedicated training of his coach, Master Saikam Subbarao, and the continued support of his parents, Rudvik is steadily progressing towards greater achievements.

On this occasion, Mr. Raju Rathod, South India and Telangana Technical Director and Organising Manager of the 1st World Open Taekwondo Championship, congratulated Rudvik Naik on his achievement. He appreciated Rudvik’s talent, discipline, and determination at such a young age and expressed his wishes that the young athlete would win many more medals at national and international competitions, bringing greater recognition to Telangana and India.
