Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu: Telangana–Hyderabad made its presence felt at a prestigious National Referee & Taekwondo National Seminar held for two days on the 29th and 30th at Papanasam, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu.
The seminar brought together more than 55 Taekwondo masters from different states across India, providing a national platform for masters and officials to enhance their technical knowledge, referee skills and understanding of the latest Taekwondo competition regulations.
Representing Telangana–Hyderabad, a team of six Taekwondo masters under the guidance of Master S. Upender actively participated in the national-level seminar. The participants were Narayana Rokaya, Ganesh Sharma, Master S. Upender, P. Raghu, P. Sai Mahesh and Raju Rathod.
The two-day programme included detailed sessions on refereeing procedures, competition rules, technical standards, officiating responsibilities and practical aspects of Taekwondo competitions. The seminar provided an important opportunity for the participating masters to strengthen their knowledge and remain updated with current standards.
The sessions were conducted under the guidance of Kukkiwon Grand Master and International Class-2 Certified Examiner M. John De Britto, Kukkiwon 6th Dan, who shared his extensive technical expertise and experience with the participating masters.
At the conclusion of the seminar, the six representatives from Telangana were presented with certificates and congratulated by Grand Master M. John De Britto for successfully completing the programme.
Among the Telangana participants, Raju Rathod, who is pursuing his LL.B. 3rd year at MSS Law College, also successfully completed the seminar. His continued involvement in Taekwondo alongside his legal education was appreciated and encouraged by his college management.
The participation of six masters from Telangana in the national seminar was regarded as a significant step towards strengthening technical and officiating standards in the state. The participants expressed their gratitude to the organisers and Grand Master M. John De Britto for providing valuable guidance and an opportunity to enhance their professional knowledge in Taekwondo.
